Brandon Johnson, also known as "FlyingJohnson" or Will Smith’s “unofficial stunt double,” is a 35-year-old professional skydiving instructor, aerial cameraman, and load organizer based in Texas. With a decade in the sport and nearly 15,000 jumps, Brandon’s passion for skydiving is undeniable.

His journey into the skies began at a young age, sparked by watching Top Gun, which fueled his dream of flight. Though he hasn’t yet pursued his pilot’s license, Brandon enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where his love for aerial adventures deepened. It was during a stint in Kuwait that he stumbled upon wingsuit videos on YouTube, igniting a new passion. Shortly thereafter, he found himself in Dubai, completing his AFF, and has been fully immersed in skydiving ever since.

Skydiving as a career wasn’t part of the original plan, but after a series of events leading to a sudden need for a career change, Brandon embraced the sport professionally.

Brandon specializes in dynamic angles, freeflying, wingsuiting, and canopy piloting, always striving to fly smoother and fly faster, aiming for perfection through progression. As one of the few African American skydivers, he is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the community, with a goal of inspiring more people of color to take up the sport, both in person and through his social media presence.
